While we are all practicing social distancing and praying for better days ahead, Chedeville remains OPEN FOR BUSINESS. All purchases made on our website are being fulfilled in a timely manner. With so many of our retail partners closed, if you make a purchase on our website you will be asked if there is a music store from whom you would normally purchase and if they are part of the JodyJazz/Chedeville Authorized Dealer network we will compensate them accordingly.

Jody Espina asks “What is Chedeville?”

Owing to its storied history and legacy, the Chedeville name is well known among more experienced players, especially in the clarinet world, and vintage Chedeville mouthpieces remain highly coveted pieces. But the name is less well known among younger players and certainly not well known outside of the world of classical clarinet and saxophone.

Jody was interested to learn how the average individual might pronounce the word “Chedeville” and also what kind of product they might think it would be. So he went to Savannah’s famous Forsyth Park one day to casually interview some passersby with some pretty interesting and humorous results. You can check out the video here.
