The Chedeville RC Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece
The Chedeville RC Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece creates a warm beautiful saxophone tone with excellent control and intonation. The medium length, classic “Chedeville facing curve” and a round chamber, produce a full tone with playability that is unsurpassed. Articulation, pianissimo to fortissimo dynamics, altissimo, your ability to express the beauty of the baritone saxophone and the music you are playing are at the forefront of all our decisions in designing and creating the RC Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece.
No expense has been spared in creating the Chedeville RC Saxophone Mouthpieces. Starting with our proprietary “Chedeville Rubber”, which is a more pure rod ebonite that recreates the great rod rubber of Pre World War II legendary Chedeville mouthpieces. If you don’t see the symbol CHR on the mouthpiece than it does not have “Chedeville Rubber“.
We manufacture the mouthpieces from beginning to end in our factory in Savannah Georgia using state of the art CNC machines and expert mouthpiece artisans on the crucial and indispensable handwork.
During the development of RC line, 100’s of mouthpieces were played and studied in order to discover how to bring out the true essence of the baritone saxophone. For example the bass violin and cello like qualities were enhanced on this baritone sax mouthpiece while still retaining a nice round sound on the bottom end of the horn and a warm clarity on the top end.
Consistency is our obsession. That is why we have the most extensive series of mandatory measurements and play testing in the industry.
We encourage you to embrace our “Life Without Limits” philosophy. We have made a mouthpiece which will not hinder you in any way and allow you to achieve your musical goals and beyond.
“Allows me to play delicately . . . I particularly love the feeling of the low end on this mouthpiece.”
Harry Cherrin – Amstel Quartet
“Very free blowing and responsive in all registers. I especially enjoyed the consistency in feel and sound color from one note to the next. I also found articulation, particularly at softer dynamics, easier than other mouthpieces I’ve tried. Solves a lot of response and tone quality issues with classical saxophone. It is a real joy to play.”
